Hinepōhatu kapa haka is open to all, and encouraged by classroom teachers. For one block a week the Hall is open to anyone who wants to come along and learn to perform a range of waiata and haka. Some of the waiata and haka may already be known by the students. Each session starts and ends with a karakia, and students learn about tikanga and discipline of performance. On Monday afternoons, those who have a passion for kapa haka are invited to an after school practice each week.
