The Performing Arts Programme is designed to give ākonga the opportunity to learn the beginning skills of music, dance and drama. Through an integrated curriculum approach, ākonga explore the creative process; translating ideas, thoughts, and feelings into original pieces of artwork and experiences.

In year 7 the ākonga will have an introduction to music, dance and drama. The programme is designed to be a taster of everything.

In year 8, ākonga will have the opportunity to opt into Performing Arts, choosing specific areas of interest so that their interests can be extended and developed further. This will allow us more time to explore the creative process; translating ideas, thoughts, and feelings into original pieces of artwork and experiences.
