In the workshop we will explore a range of resistant materials while learning how to safely use the various tools available.

The year 7 programme focuses on exploring the different machinery in the room while creating 2 projects. We will look at the different materials used and learn more about their properties and suitability for use.

In year 8, the programme is an opt in programme, which gives us longer to explore interests and inquiry. We will take a journey through our local history looking at Māori as first designers and scientists. We will move through to the industrial age and the number 8 fencing wire creativity.  Ākonga will design and make a contemporary kete which they will display using the laser cutter.
